Maintenance Pipefitter/Welder, Journeyman II

Description

Proficient in fabrication using work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, sketches and other related documentation. Proficient in understanding industry standards for pipe specs and welding codes. Take field measurements to determine, length, angles and other dimensions to properly fit for job or task.

Tasks

Fabricate using work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, sketches and other related documentation.

Learn & understand, refer to industry standards for pipe specs and welding codes, ASME B31.3 & PIP spec.

Understand and follow lockout/tagout procedures and open line/entry permit requirements.

Completes assigned maintenance welding repairs and project work.

Collaborate with other trades or departments regarding weld repairs and projects

Position pieces to be welded, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools 

Document weld mapping to retain in Reliability for new inspection and entry into PCMS

Qualifications / Education

4-6 years experience preferred 
Minimum 1 year @ARG, preferred but not required.  High School Diploma
Welding Apprenticeship,  Associate or Trade Certificate Preferred
Qualified Rigger/Signal Training
Maintain 9 ton Carry-deck qualification - quarterly refresher training
Maintain certification Manlift, Scissor lift, Forklift
Prior experience as a Journeyman I
