Cost Accountant

Analyzes and tracks a company's expenses, helps with budgeting, and provides insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability

Analyze and interpret financial data to understand costs, identify cost drivers, and pinpoint areas for cost reduction. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecast costs, and track actual expenses against budgeted amounts. Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures to ensure efficient resource allocation and minimize waste. Prepare reports on cost performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability. Track inventory levels, analyze inventory costs, and identify opportunities for inventory optimization. Assist in setting product and service prices by providing cost data and insights. Work with other departments, such as manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to gather information and implement cost-saving initiatives. 
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Accounting knowledge. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
