Description
Focuses on selling complex technological products or services, setting sales goals, developing strategies, and managing accounts to achieve revenue targets, while also ensuring customer satisfaction and providing technical expertise.
Tasks
Generate new business and ensure growth of existing accounts. Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities. Consistently prospecting to identify new customers/opportunities, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive engagement of sales region. Travel 75% or more to develop new opportunities and maintain existing relationships
Develop annual and long-term sales forecasts. Reporting monthly activities to sales manager. Participate in sales team meetings. Interact with Atlas’s engineering, quality and plant management teams to ensure superior quality and on-time delivery of customer products. Provide assistance to technical sales when delivering PM 101’s to customers and prospects. Act as a liaison between sales and engineering. Deliver PM 101’s to customers and prospects. Attend new product launch meetings to represent sales team. Advise sales team of any needs coming from launch meetings so they can make contact with the customer to address questions or concerns. Provide technical assistance to sales team – aid in review of potential designs prior to RFQ being submitted to estimating. Participate on calls with customers & prospects to review design feasibility. Stay up to date on industry trends and developments.

Qualifications / Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical field, or 15+ years of powder metal experience. 10+ plus years technical sales background. Strive to achieve APMI PMT Certification Level 1 within 10 years of service and PMT Level 2 within 20 years of service
