Description
Ensures a safe and compliant workplace, focusing on employee health, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance through policies, training, and inspections.
Tasks
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Conduct safety training for employees, covering topics like hazard identification, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards, including chemical, physical, and ergonomic risks. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and other relevant data. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations. Work with management and other departments to promote a strong safety culture. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Promote environmental sustainability through waste reduction, recycling, and other initiatives.

Qualifications / Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred. OSHA or similar EHS certifications preferred.
