Description

Leads and coordinates engineering teams, overseeing projects, managing resources, and ensuring successful delivery of products or services, while also fostering a positive and productive work environment. 

Tasks

Hire, manage, and develop a team of engineers, including performance reviews, career development planning, and addressing performance issues. Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, setting timelines, assigning tasks, managing budgets, and ensuring projects meet technical specifications and deadlines. Review technical designs, code, and documentation to ensure quality and adherence to standards, providing guidance and expertise on complex technical challenges. Contribute to overall engineering strategy, identifying technological trends and proposing new initiatives to improve product development and efficiency. Work closely with other departments (Quality, Sales, and Operations, etc.) to align engineering efforts with business goals. 
Manage team capacity, prioritize projects, and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands. Implement quality control processes and ensure the team adheres to industry standards and regulations.  Encourage creativity and continuous improvement within the Engineering team by exploring new technologies and approaches to problem-solving. 

Qualifications / Education

BS in Engineering and/or 10 years in various Engineering roles.  Minimum of 5 years management experience required
