Description

Designs and develops new products or improves existing ones, encompassing research, design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing specifications, while ensuring products meet industry standards and company goals

Tasks

Can Read, Navigate and Understand Part and Tool prints: Understands basic GD&T and Tolerancing, Understands the Imperial and Metric system, Understand basic MPIF part material designations and can navigate through the MPIF Standard 35.
Can understand and perform basic Die-Setter skills: Understands the basic functions of a Molding and Sizing Press, Participate in Plant, Sales and Engineering meetings 
Can understand and perform basic Problem-Solving skills: Can Collect, Analyze and Interpret data leading to tool design or process changes
Has basic drawing knowledge and skills: Understands basic Engineering Terminology, Understands Material Growth and Shrinkage Factors for tool design, Can use current software for designing components
Understand basic clearances and tolerances for tooling, gages and fixtures: Understands basic tool steels for press tooling, press adaption, gages and fixtures

Qualifications / Education

BS in Engineering and/or 5 years in various Engineering roles. Blueprint reading skills
