Description
Ensures products consistently meet quality standards by developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with teams to improve processes and maintain high quality
Tasks
Create and maintain quality management systems (QMS) that align with industry standards and customer requirements. Develop and implement quality control procedures, including inspections, testing and audits. Establish and maintain quality standards and specifications for products. Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential quality issues. Investigate and resolve quality problems, implementing corrective and preventative actions. Collect, analyze and interpret data related to quality performance. Identify areas for improvement in processes and products. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Provide quality training and guidance for all personnel. Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, sales, customer service and production teams to ensure quality objectives are met. Communicate quality issues and findings to management and stakeholders. Lead and motivate a team of quality control personnel. Set performance goals and provide feedback to team members. Foster a culture of quality throughout Atlas.
Qualifications / Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, related technical field or business administration. Minimum of five year's management experience with five years as CQE/CQM. Strong organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of automotive requirements (PPAP, APQP, PFME), 8 Discipline Approach to Problem Solving , Dynamics of Process (JIT, KAIZEN, KANBAN, POKE YOKE, 5 S) and cost of quality (downstream cost accumulation).
