Description
Support the health and nutrition of families in our community. This position involves screening and enrolling applicants into the WIC Program, delivering essential nutrition education, and distributing program benefits to eligible families. Additionally, you will champion breastfeeding support by offering valuable information and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers within the WIC Program.
Tasks
- Screen and enroll eligible families into the WIC Program using approved intake procedures.
- Provide basic nutrition education and support during participant appointments.
- Issue WIC benefits and explain how to use them to purchase approved healthy foods.
- Offer breastfeeding information, support, and encouragement to new and expectant moms.
- Assist with outreach to promote WIC services and support community health efforts.
