Description

To oversee the information network at North Central main campus including personal computers, telephones, copiers, networking devices and software.  Also, to manage the Internet Service provided to the general public by the Commission.

Tasks

  • Oversee NCP and State Wireless Wide Area Networks and manage all aspects of North Central Internet.
  • Manage internal computer operations and Local Area Networks (LANs) across all organizational sites.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and support PCs, printers, and peripherals at the Commission and WWAN locations.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot internal networks, including routers, switches, and servers.
  • Manage North Central Internet equipment 24/7; perform maintenance and upgrades during off-hours.
  • Provide high-level tech support to advanced Internet clients with specialized needs (e.g., hospitals).
  • Maintain and support the wireless wide area network serving the six-county North Central region.

Qualifications / Education

Education – 4-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems Analysis; or equivalent education/experience
Experience – Substantial experience working a broad range of computer and networking technologies.
