Description
To ensure proper accountability of all monetary systems within the North Central PA Planning and Development Commission and North Central Enterprises, Inc.
Tasks
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger functions; train staff.
- Close General Ledgers monthly, quarterly, and annually, ensuring balanced accounts and adjustments.
- Verify and approve bank reconciliations for accuracy.
- Produce and summarize hours reports, expense vouchers, and ledger backups for funding agencies.
- Generate financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for funding agencies, ensuring compliance.
- Maintain historical accounting records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor budgets and expenditures, providing necessary updates to program directors.
Qualifications / Education
Education – 4-year degree in accounting, preferred.
Experience – 2 years’ experience in accounting at the directorship level, with some exposure to a non–profit environment.
