Description

To manage the ARC/EDA programs; provide support, guidance, and technical assistance to interested parties seeking state or federal grants and to promote community and economic development by implementing comprehensive economic development strategy activities throughout the region.

Tasks

  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of ARC and EDA grants management including pre- and post- award activities.
  • Review applications, monitor progress, issue budget amendments, and close grants (pre/post-award).
  • Assist local governments and non-profits with planning, funding, applications, and project tracking.
  • Prepare an annual regional investment plan identifying funding priorities across six counties.
  • Maintain contact with stakeholders and attend applicant meetings during the ARC/EDA process.
  • Oversee staff managing the CEDS Committee and associated subcommittees.
  • Assist staff and applicants with submitting electronic applications via Single App and Edge Portal systems.

Qualifications / Education

Education – 4-year degree in economics, public business administration, marketing, or related field, preferred.
Experience – Community/Economic or Business Development experience to include experience with federal grants management processes and techniques consistent with sound business and industry practices including the ability to monitor, evaluate and administer assigned grants and develop specialized agreements for grants.
