Description

Coordinates daily schoolwork and collaborates daily with faculty from client's home school district to provide academic support to individuals participating in services at Crossroads. The special education teacher is responsible for implementing a physical education curriculum and lunch curriculum to students and providing school districts with an overall grade report for individual students. The special education teacher is part of the overall treatment team.

Tasks

  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress on ITP and IEP goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with school districts to support individuals at Crossroads.
  • Interpret instructions from regular education teachers and relay to students.
  • Provide individual lessons based on teacher instructions and client needs.
  • Communicate student performance and grades to parents/guardians.

Qualifications / Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
  • Experience working with children in school setting and children with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
  • Valid PA Teaching License (Special Education).
  • Valid PA drivers license.
