Description
Responsible for the day to day operations for a specific caseload of the Peer Support, Drop-In Center, and Decision Support Center. The peer support program provides specialized therapeutic interactions conducted by self-identified current or former consumers of mental health services, to adults with a diagnosis of serious mental illness, in 7 counties. The Drop-In-Center program provides a safe and social environment for adults with Mental Health Diagnosis and individuals who are Intellectually developmentally disabled, in Elk and Cameron Counties. Is responsible for coordinating monthly Decision Support Center (DSC) leadership meetings, collecting data, and monitors the day to day operation of the DSC and DSC peer staff. Tracks monthly statistics and Personal Medicine/Power Statement Fidelity. Supervises staff, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures that services delivered meet agency and regulatory standards. May perform tasks such as supervision and signing off on documentations that require a Mental Health Professional's signature for licensing requirements in the absence of a Program Director as long as meets the definition of MHP.
Tasks
- Implement and follow Peer Support, C.O.P.E., DSC regulations and program requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes impacting the program or industry.
- Collaborate professionally with mental health providers, county personnel, and resource groups.
- Manage staffing: hiring, onboarding, training, supervision, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of mental health direct care experience.
- High school diploma or general equivalent and 4 years of mental health direct care experience.
- Peer Specialist Supervisory Training Curriculum preferred, but must be obtained within 6 months of assuming the position of Peer Support Supervisor.
- Valid driver's license.
