Description

The Adult Habilitation Center Worker provides direct care within the Adult Habilitation Center Program. This day program provides Community services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Elk, Cameron and McKean Counties. The AHC Worker provides daily individualized care to each consumer while encouraging independence, respecting personal preferences, and ensuring their health and welfare.

Tasks

  • Conduct therapeutic group and individual activities to improve disabilities and meet goals.
  • Complete required documentation timely: progress notes, assessments, incident reports, etc.
  • Administer and monitor medications per IDD regulations.
  • Provide physical assistance with ambulation, transfers, and safety interventions.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No experience necessary.
  • Capacity to successfully complete first aid, CPR, Heimlich, and medication administration courses.
  • Valid driver's license.
