Description
Responsible for the day to day operation of the department, including the patient tray-line, cafeteria services, catering services, and receiving/transportation. You will implement proper food safety and sanitation practices within the department. You will also train and assist dining services staff in their roles as needed and assist with any computer needs.
Tasks
- Supervise staff and provide training to ensure quality service.
- Plan menus and manage food inventory to meet demand.
- Monitor dining room operations and resolve customer concerns.
- Control food and labor costs to stay within budget.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.
- Track expenses and assist with budget planning and reporting.
Qualifications / Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, Preferred
- 6+ months experience in kitchen area, Preferred
- Must understand unit measurements, such as ounces, pounds, cups, etc.
- Must know how to use a scale
- Prior management/supervisory experience, Preferred
