Description
Specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language problems, and engage in the scientific study of human communication, in effort to improve the patient's quality of life.
Tasks
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patient needs, abilities, and goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Implement therapy sessions to improve patient function and well-being.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and care.
- Track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- Document services provided and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications / Education
- Masters degree in Speech Language program and current Pennsylvania Speech Therapy license or must obtain within 1 year of start
- Experience working with children of all ages
- Healthcare provider CPR certification through the American Heart Association within the first 12 months of hire required
