Description
Responsible for providing recreational activities for residents by assisting in planning, conduction, evaluation, and participation in one on one and group activity programs.
Tasks
- Develop and implement programs that meet resident needs and interests.
- Train, supervise, and support staff to ensure quality program delivery.
- Manage program budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Engage residents in activities and collect feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support resident well-being.
- Monitor program effectiveness and adjust as needed.
- Ensure compliance with policies and promote a positive environment.
Qualifications / Education
- High school diploma and/or GED required
- Artistic background or previous instruction from a certified activity consultant
- Experience in a social or recreational program
- Experience in a Personal Care Home, of working with the elderly preferred
