Vacation Relief Lead

The Vacation Relief Lead serves as a backup operator for all equipment within the sawmill and planer and as backup for the boiler, dry kilns, shipping, and grading.

• Comply with safety standards and report any observed hazards.
• Operate sawmill, planer, boiler, dry kilns, shipping, and grading equipment.
• Perform startup, shutdown, and weekly PM inspections on equipment.
• Clean and maintain working areas and equipment.
• Report manufacturing defects to the supervisor.
• Train new operators on equipment and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervisor; on-site attendance required.

• Experience operating all equipment in the sawmill and planer.
• Experience operating the boiler, dry kilns, and shipping duties.
• Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
