Description
The Stacker Operator operates the stacker to create stacks of lumber according to specifications.
Tasks
- Comply with safety standards and report any observed hazards.
- Operate the stacker to create quality lumber stacks for proper drying.
- Apply knowledge of lumber size during stacking operations.
- Perform startup, shutdown, and weekly PM equipment inspections.
- Report manufacturing defects to supervisor promptly.
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
- Train new operators and assist supervisor with reports and assignments.
Qualifications / Education
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
