Description

The Stacker Operator operates the stacker to create stacks of lumber according to specifications.

Tasks

  • Comply with safety standards and report any observed hazards.
  • Operate the stacker to create quality lumber stacks for proper drying.
  • Apply knowledge of lumber size during stacking operations.
  • Perform startup, shutdown, and weekly PM equipment inspections.
  • Report manufacturing defects to supervisor promptly.
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
  • Train new operators and assist supervisor with reports and assignments.

Qualifications / Education

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
