Sort Station Operator

The Sort Station Operator directs boards and cants to the resaw or gang edger.

• Comply with safety standards and report any observed hazards.
• Measure and direct boards and cants to correct areas.
• Monitor flow of resaw infeed/outfeed rolls, cant deck, and cant flippers.
• Assist with saw changes and maintain resaw chains.
• Perform startup, shutdown, and weekly PM equipment inspections.
• Report defects, clean work areas, and maintain equipment.
• Train new operators and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to recognize lumber size and measure lumber with tape measure.
• Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
