Description
The Shipping Lead coordinates all shipments of sold product.
Tasks
- Comply with safety standards; report any observed hazards immediately.
- Apply knowledge of lumber grades, types, and sizes for order accuracy.
- Check orders vs. inventory; resolve discrepancies with supervisors and QC.
- Coordinate shipment and delivery; schedule pickups with trucking services.
- Create Bills of Lading (BOL) for all truck shipments.
- Use LumberTrack system to reconcile orders, shipments, and inventory.
- Communicate effectively with sales, brokers, customers, dispatch, and drivers.
Qualifications / Education
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Knowledge of grade names, types, and sizes of lumber
- Ability to communicate with management, staff, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
