Description
The Resaw Operator operates the resaw to reduce the thickness of lumber to specific lumber dimensions.
Tasks
- Comply with safety standards; correct or report any observed hazards.
- Operate the resaw to process slabs/flitches and gang sort machinable boards.
- Monitor and maintain bypass chain, belts, and sideboard discharge chains.
- Perform startup, shutdown, and weekly PM equipment inspections.
- Report manufacturing defects to the supervisor.
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
- Train new operators and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
