Proficient Operator Lift

The Forklift Operator operates the forklift in a safe and productive manner while minimizing damage to the lumber product.

• Comply with safety standards; correct or report any observed hazards.
• Maneuver like-product units through multiple lumber production phases.
• Assist with lumber transportation needs as instructed.
• Operate planer infeed and outfeed; manage tags and lumber storage.
• Support shipping: load railcars, freight, and transport trailers.
• Load/unload kilns, ensuring optimal drying processes.
• Perform equipment startup/shutdown inspections and maintain work area.

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Have past heavy equipment skills and knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools and measuring instruments preferred.
• Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
