Description

The Millwright provides maintenance, installation, and operational services for manufacturing systems and equipment.

Tasks

  • Comply with safety standards and report or correct any observed hazards at all times.
  • Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair equipment using welding, hydraulics, blueprints, and more.
  • Fabricate parts, assemble machinery, and perform preventive maintenance on rolling stock.
  • Detect mechanical issues early and perform maintenance to reduce downtime.
  • Document work progress using the company’s maintenance tracking system.
  • Clean and maintain work areas and equipment; perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • If lead, act as expert; assist with reports, assignments, training; maintain inventory; coordinate vendors.

Qualifications / Education

  • Two (2) years of previous experience preferred.
  • Possess a minimum of one of the basic abilities: welding, cutting, fitting, lubrication, troubleshooting equipment and systems, or component maintenance.
  • Possess the basic tools related to the trade.
  • Must be able to properly read a tape measure.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is required to be awarded the Millwright III position.
