Electrician II

The Electrician maintains, repairs, modifies, and installs electrical, instrument, and computer systems in a wood products facility to ensure optimal operations.

• Follow safety standards and report or correct any hazards in the electrical work environment.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems used in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain A.C./D.C. drives, motors, wiring, control devices, and modular control assemblies.
• Use PLCs, HMIs, and network systems to optimize plant operations; ensure code compliance.
• Train electrician trainees in installs, schematics, theory, safety, and tool use.
• If Lead, guide daily work, inventory, breaks, vendor tasks, and act as the process expert.
• Complete other duties as assigned; consistent on-site attendance is essential to the role.

• Associate degree in electrical maintenance and construction technology preferred.
• One year of experience working as an industrial electrician or be a licensed electrician from states that provide licensing.
• Have a basic understanding of industrial electrical safety, MCCs, three-phase power, running conduit, lighting, and schematics.
• Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
• Provide basic tools to perform routine electrical activities.
