Boiler Security and Environmental Lead

Description

The Security Boiler Operator operates the boiler system and provides security patrol and fire watch by continuously walking the facility during a twelve hour shift.

Tasks

  • Comply with safety rules and report or correct any hazards observed in the work environment.
  • Monitor site security, conduct fire watch, and operate boiler, silo, and fire protection systems.
  • Perform water treatment tests and ensure systems run efficiently and within safety standards.
  • Clean work areas during equipment downtime, idle periods, or unexpected breakdowns.
  • Complete assigned duties; reliable on-site attendance is critical to meeting job expectations.
  • If assigned lead, assist with reports, training, breaks, task assignments, and stormwater logs.
  • Leads may manage inventory, and coordinate with vendors/contractors as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications / Education

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Ability to work a nonstandard shift and variable hours depending on the needs of the business unit.
  • Position serves as relief on holidays, weekends, and to cover vacations.
  • Must be available for call-in and for back-up as needed.
  • Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
