Description
The Accounting Technician provides accounting support to the Collins operations at the Kane, PA location.
Tasks
- Enter incoming log data and maintain records in the log accounting system.
- Set up trucker/hauler codes and process logger payments, including bi-monthly and special runs.
- Maintain contracts in log accounting software and process contract changes as needed.
- Assist loggers, truckers, and vendors with payment, rate, and contract inquiries.
- Support Log Sales Supervisor with contracts, invoicing, and customer code setup.
- Provide log, lumber, and production data to resource team, Division Controller, and others.
- Reconcile petty cash monthly and process by-product sale tickets.
Qualifications / Education
- General understanding of accounting processes.
- Ability to communicate with vendors, managers, divisional accounting staff, and employees.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Proficient working with computers and software and proven ability to learn new applications.
