Description

The Accounting Technician provides accounting support to the Collins operations at the Kane, PA location.

Tasks

  • Enter incoming log data and maintain records in the log accounting system.
  • Set up trucker/hauler codes and process logger payments, including bi-monthly and special runs.
  • Maintain contracts in log accounting software and process contract changes as needed.
  • Assist loggers, truckers, and vendors with payment, rate, and contract inquiries.
  • Support Log Sales Supervisor with contracts, invoicing, and customer code setup.
  • Provide log, lumber, and production data to resource team, Division Controller, and others.
  • Reconcile petty cash monthly and process by-product sale tickets.

Qualifications / Education

  • General understanding of accounting processes.
  • Ability to communicate with vendors, managers, divisional accounting staff, and employees.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient working with computers and software and proven ability to learn new applications.
