Rehabilitation Technician - Addiction Treatment Services

Description

Responsible for assisting the LTSR team in providing the necessary support and information needed to implement each clients' treatment plan. The incumbent also assists clients with daily activities, medication monitoring, management of daily tasks and providing transportation when needed. Crisis management and support is also an important function of this position.

Tasks

  • Uses current mental health knowledge and recovery approaches to provide effective clinical care.
  • Builds rapport with clients; models and teaches active participation in recovery process.
  • Conducts thorough client screenings; supports treatment and activity plan development.
  • Develops and facilitates skills-building groups tailored to client learning needs.
  • Monitors medication accurately; maintains error-free MAR documentation and educates clients.
  • Completes all required medication certification training for compliance.
  • Provides reliable program coverage and collaborates with staff to complete tasks.

Qualifications / Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Or Associates degree in a related field with two years full time (or equivalent) related experience; Or High school diploma (or equivalent) with eighteen months full time experience as a Rehabilitation Technician One (Scale 1) within the agency; Or A high school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of related full time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least twelve months experience as a full time Rehabilitation Technician One and/or Rehabilitation Technician Two within the agency; Or An Associates degree with at least three years full time direct care experience within the agency; Or A high school diploma with at least 48 months experience as a Rehabilitation Technician One and/or Rehabilitation Technician Two within the agency; or A Bachelor's degree in a related field with eighteen months of full time (or equivalent) experience from outside the agency; Or Associates degree in a related field with at least thirty months of related experience from outside the agency.
