Description
Responsible for conducting bio-psycho-social assessments to determine appropriate placement levels for outpatient dual diagnosis care. The incumbent also facilitates individual and group counseling sessions to provide clients with opportunities to explore recovery issues and work toward mutually determined recovery goals.
Tasks
- Uses best practices to help clients choose treatment strategies that meet their unique goals.
- Applies counseling techniques tailored to client preferences; collaborates with Dual program staff.
- Conducts BDAP biopsychosocial intake and administers Addiction Severity Index with clients.
- Monitors clients’ mental status, medication effects, and documents progress clearly and timely.
- Facilitates counseling groups and individual sessions using varied therapeutic and recovery tools.
- Meets 75% productivity standard, billing 5.5 hours daily of a 7.5-hour workday.
- Maintains detailed client session notes; manages referrals, discharges, and no-show clients effectively.
Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor's level degree in related field or equivalent education and experience as determined by agency standards and guidelines of position
- Must have valid Pennsylvania licensure or Pennsylvania Certification Board credentials, including LPC, LCSW, LSW, CAAC, CADC, CAADC, or CSS or be able to acquire license or credentials within two (2) years of hire
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in a D&A setting
