Description
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for the maintenance of confidential personnel files for both current and past employees, and the maintenance of the employee records in the Human Resources database. This position is responsible for tracking new hire paperwork completion. This position is responsible for processing Unemployment Compensation and Workers Compensation paperwork. This position is responsible for completing employment verifications. This position monitors and maintains the employee evaluation process. This position must maintain the ability to interface in a professional manner with staff, recruits, and other community entities.
Tasks
- Maintain proficiency in info management, personnel laws, and policy interpretation.
- Secure and manage current staff info; ensure files are complete and up to date.
- Track and process employee physicals and evaluations timely; update Great Plains data.
- Provide employment verifications for current and former employees as requested.
- Process Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, Affirmative Action laws and regs.
- Provide clerical support: filing, copying, and data entry for Human Resources staff as needed.
Qualifications / Education
- Associate degree in a course of study related to office administration and at least 3 years experience in the field of responsibility; or,
- High school diploma (or GED) in a course of study related to office administration with at least 5 years of experience in that field
