Description
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position is responsible for the maintenance of confidential personnel files for both current and past employees, and the maintenance of the employee records in the Human Resources database. This position is responsible for tracking new hire paperwork completion. This position is responsible for processing Unemployment Compensation paperwork. This position is responsible for managing the FMLA process. This position is responsible for completing employment verifications. This position monitors and maintains the employee evaluation process. This position must maintain the ability to interface in a professional manner with staff, recruits, and other community entities.
Tasks
- Maintains proficiency in info management and compliance with personnel laws and policies.
- Secures and updates staff info; tracks physicals and evaluations timely and accurately.
- Assists with maintaining employee data in Great Plains software; provides employment certifications.
- Processes Unemployment Claims and FMLA paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Ensures compliance with HR laws: EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Affirmative Action, and HIPAA.
- Provides HR program support including filing, copying, and data entry to HRIS as needed.
Qualifications / Education
- Associate degree in a course of study related to office administration and at least 3 years' experience in the field of responsibility; or,
- High school diploma (or GED) in a course of study related to office administration with at least 5 years of experience in that field
