IT Systems Developer

Description

Installs, configures, and troubleshoots computer networks and associated assemblies, installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems and provides technical assistance and training to system users.

Tasks

  • Help plan and develop policies and procedures for computer operations and IT workflows.
  • Review daily logs and reports to ensure optimal IT system operations and functionality.
  • Consult with vendors and staff to resolve issues impeding computer processing and usage.
  • Manage equipment/supply procurement and inventory: quoting, purchasing, and order entry.
  • Track assets and generate reports for accounting using appropriate software systems.
  • Document activities: create knowledge base articles, update work orders, and post responses.
  • Respond promptly to user needs; install, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware and peripherals.

Qualifications / Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer information systems preferred
  • Experience building and repairing PCs
  • Basic understanding of DNS, DHCP, IP, and Group Policies
