Description
The Hardwood Sales Manager represents Collins in an outside sales and technical role with an emphasis on promoting our quality, stewardship, customer service and integrity.
Tasks
- Research and generate new accounts and follow through on sales leads.
- Build and maintain rapport with prospects, clients, team members, and other pivotal contacts.
- Monitor each customer’s performance relative to plans.
- Establish goals for each customer by product/sub-product.
- Active management of total cost to customer to ensure best freight/inventory formulas are working for Collins; coordinate as needed with internal staff.
- Set sales budgets and cost budgets for self and hardwood sales team.
- Monitor, control and adjust implementation of sales plan in coordination with the Operations team.
- Understand and communicate the need for strategic, focused marketing and sales.
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
- On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications / Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience directly related to wood product sales.
