Description

Drives transportation van to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule.

Tasks

  • Read, acknowledge, and follow Bradford Ecumenical Home Transportation Safety Policy.
  • Complete and pass Wheelchair and Occupant Restraint System training.
  • Follow assigned work schedule and supervisor instructions.
  • Coordinate organized, timely resident transport on a daily/weekly schedule.
  • Complete and review daily vehicle inspection checklist; report/correct issues before transport.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Minimum of 21 years of age;
  • Current Pennsylvania Driver’s License (minimum Class C) with no vehicular citations;
  • Current CPR and First Aid Training;
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents and/or responsible parties; Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, personnel, family members, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
