Description

Assist the Director of Nursing in determining the staffing needs of the nursing department. Recommend the number and level of nursing personnel to be employed. Ensure that sufficient number of RNs, LPNs and Nurse Aides are scheduled for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained and assist with recruitment of nursing personnel.

Tasks

  • Schedule and conduct interviews for Nursing department job candidates.
  • Help HR with pre-employment checks, including references and license verification.
  • Update Nursing department schedules daily using OnShift.
  • Educate new Nursing staff on scheduling procedures and OnShift during orientation.
  • Assist DON with performance reviews and track schedules for annual evaluations.

Qualifications / Education

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must possess the ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with other personnel.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
