Description

Manages and oversees the Medical Biller and Administrative Services Assistant’s day to day duties while reporting to the CFO. Oversee and insure the proper billing of the private portion due from residents and Medicaid. Manage and insure the proper billing of long term care insurance coverage and of third party insurance carriers.

Tasks

  • Maintain Medicare A/B copay logs and submit insurance claims.
  • Meet with residents/families to discuss finances and pre-planning options.
  • Ensure Medicaid residents have proper Medicare Part D coverage.
  • Complete reports for PA Nursing Facility Assessment and Credit Balance.
  • Stay updated on Medicare/Medicaid rules; revise policies as needed.
  • Prepare records for Utilization Review and attend UMR meetings as needed.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have experience in the health, human services, and/or community services field.
  • Knowledge of long term care billing is preferred.
  • Must have had training or experience in secretarial work, accounting, and computer.
  • Must be a person with proven integrity due to the confidential nature of his/her work.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities.
