Description
Manage all employment related concerns and oversee the complete operations of the kitchens at the residential facilities. Develop methods to ensure consistent quality of food served by standardizing recipes.Plan all menus to ensure adequate nutrition, including alternatives, with additional attention to special diets.
Tasks
- Manage and oversee ordering of food in accordance with food supply and budgets.
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards.
- Monitor resident weight a minimum of monthly for significant changes.
- Develop interventions and monitor for effectiveness.
- Ensure residents are offered nourishing snacks.
- Coordinate and manage ServSafe initial certification and renewals for eligible employees.
Qualifications / Education
- Must possess current Registered Dietician License.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role in long term care preferred.
- Experience in computer technology/software applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally (both oral and written) with employees, residents, family members and vendors.
