Description

Ensure that all residents receive care in a manner and in an environment that maintains or enhances their quality of life without abridging the safety and rights of other residents. Ensure that each resident receives the necessary nursing, medical and psychosocial services to attain and maintain the highest possible mental and physical functional status, as defined by the comprehensive assessment and care plan.

Tasks

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities.
  • Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the facility.
  • Write and maintain job descriptions per ADA, OSHA, and laws relevant to each staff position.
  • Help Management Team develop and implement staff performance evaluations.
  • Support directors in policies and build interdepartmental rapport to promote teamwork.

Qualifications / Education

  • Administrator’s license recognized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.
  • Previous job related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in health care or related field.
  • Ability to deal with and supervise professional and nonprofessional personnel.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Ability to keep abreast of changes in the nursing home field.
