Description
Responsible to serve as an ambassador to the Personal Care Home. Responsible for the day-to day administration of program and financial operations; planning, development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of facilities services; management of staff; and the delivery of quality services as determined by the residents and their families, also responsible for ensuring operation of a program that is consistent with the philosophy of personal care.
Tasks
- Assures the provision of high quality services needed and/or desired by residents.
- Assists in preparing and administering the annual budget.
- Assists in monitoring and maintaining cost control.
- Takes initiative to actively plan, develop, and implement expansion and/or innovation in facility services.
- Maintains daily resident census in OnShift.
- Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensures facility is prepared for inspection by regulatory agencies.
Qualifications / Education
- Must have experience in the health, human services, and/or community services field.
- Prior experience in Management and/or Supervision preferred.
- Must have qualifications and training for administrator as outlined in Personal Care Home Licensing Regulations. Licensed nursing home administrators are exempt from the training and education requirements if they continue to meet the requirements of the State Board of Nursing Home Administrators.
- Must possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Must have ability to hire, direct, and manage personnel.
- Must demonstrate understanding of how assisted living facilities function, from governing bodies to financing. Ability to communicate the program philosophy and goals. Knowledge of community service network is desirable.
