Activity Aide

Participating in the design of activities programming for both groups and individuals that provides all residents with opportunities for intellectual and physical stimulation and social interaction. Provide input for resources for outside entertainment and social organizations to come to Bradford Ecumenical Home to perform and visit.

• Arrange for resident participation in activities outside Bradford Ecumenical Home and arrange/provide transportation.
• Work with volunteers and assign duties according to their interests and abilities.
• Supervise activities or instruct volunteers to supervise.
• Keep daily attendance records for all residents’ participation.
• Assist with transporting residents to activities, including helping them transfer into wheelchairs.

• Experience in working with elderly in recreational programming.
• Exhibit concern for the elderly and enthusiasm.
• Be able to motivate residents.
• Be able to provide input/creative ideas for activity programming.
