Description

Supervises residential workers, cook and driver/maintenance staff in the inpatient setting under the supervision of the Program Manager. Provides feedback, role modeling and coaching to the staff. Ensures the residential worker team is communicating effectively and providing safe environment for the individuals in inpatient treatment.

Tasks

  • Hire, orient/train, supervise, motivate, discipline, recommend termination, and evaluate staff.
  • Prepare staff evaluations in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.
  • Interpret rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and operating standards for staff.
  • Recommend applicable policy or procedure changes to the Inpatient Treatment Supervisor and Program Manager.
  • Act as the lead responder to emergency situations and scheduling issues during residential shifts.

Qualifications / Education

  • One year as a Drug and Alcohol Residential Worker; or Two years of paid experience in a Human Service Agency working with drug and/or alcohol dependent clients; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
