Description

Provide group counseling including providing instruction, role modeling, and coaching individuals in skill building activities as well as art, music, recreational and family therapy.

Tasks

  • Provide instruction, role modeling, and coaching in skill-building activities like budgeting and job interviewing.
  • Utilize evidence-based life skills curriculum in teaching budgeting, civic involvement, and self-assertiveness.
  • Encourage individuals' empowerment in asserting their rights and addressing their needs.
  • Collaborate with Maple Manor case managers and counselors to coordinate non-treatment needs.
  • Complete urinalysis as needed to support effective treatment for clients.
  • Facilitate weekend groups to promote family involvement and educate families on substance use.
  • Provide education to families on the importance of developing natural supports within the family.

Qualifications / Education

  • No previous experience and training required.
