D&A Treatment Specialist Trainee

Description
Actively listen and address client problems through support and guidance in solving problems and identifying healthy behavior. This may be done in individual, group or family counseling on an outpatient basis.
Tasks
- Receive training and assist in evaluating and assessing individuals referred to outpatient services.
- Receive training and assist in coordinating residential treatment recommendations and follow-up.
- Receive training and assist in maintaining relationships with external referral sources.
- Receive training and assist in maintaining outpatient charts daily, completing necessary forms.
- Receive training and assist in providing on-the-job training for new employees working with clients.
Qualifications / Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree or above with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other behavioral sciences;
- Or: An Associate’s Degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other behavioral sciences; and two (2) years of clinical experience (a minimum of 3,640 hours) in a health or human service agency.
