D&A Prevention Supervisor

Description

Plans, develops and implements various D&A projects outlined in the prevention unit including the school system, community agencies, and community groups. Oversees and directs the prevention department staff.

Tasks

  • Supervise all prevention specialists in DDAP and grant-funded programs; handle hiring and training.
  • Approve and assign vacation, compensatory time, and manage requests to work compensatory time.
  • Ensure all programming runs effectively; serve as floater to cover service gaps as needed.
  • Ensure prevention staff receives appropriate training, meets hours, and records training on time.
  • Assist Program Manager with WITS tracking and verification to ensure accurate data.

Qualifications / Education

  • One year as a Drug & Alcohol Prevention Specialist; OR A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and two years of progressively responsible experience in prevention activities.
