Description
Plans, develops and implements various D&A projects outlined in the prevention unit including the school system, community agencies, and community groups. Oversees and directs the prevention department staff.
Tasks
- Supervise all prevention specialists in DDAP and grant-funded programs; handle hiring and training.
- Approve and assign vacation, compensatory time, and manage requests to work compensatory time.
- Ensure all programming runs effectively; serve as floater to cover service gaps as needed.
- Ensure prevention staff receives appropriate training, meets hours, and records training on time.
- Assist Program Manager with WITS tracking and verification to ensure accurate data.
Qualifications / Education
- One year as a Drug & Alcohol Prevention Specialist; OR A Bachelorās Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields and two years of progressively responsible experience in prevention activities.
