D&A Prevention Specialist Trainee - Triple P

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program works with parents to give them simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships, confidently manage their children’s behavior and prevent problems developing. Plans, develops and implements various D&A projects outlined in the prevention unit including the school system, community agencies, and community groups

• Receive training and assist in providing Triple P-Standard for parents in one-on-one or group sessions.
• Receive training and assist in guiding parents through Triple P Program Modules.
• Receive training and assist parents in learning strategies to promote social competence and self-regulation.
• Receive training and encourage parents to develop a parenting plan using Triple P strategies.
• Receive training and assist parents in utilizing their plan to track and reflect on child behavior.

• A bachelor’s degree; Or: Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
