Vacation Relief Lead

The Vacation Relief Lead serves as a backup operator for all equipment within the sawmill and planer and as backup for the boiler, dry kilns, shipping, and grading.

• Comply with safety standards at all times and correct/report any observed safety hazards.
• Operate all equipment in the sawmill and planer. Also operate the boiler, dry kilns and perform shipping and grading duties.
• Perform startup and shutdown equipment inspections. Perform weekly PM inspections.
• Clean and maintain working area and equipment.
• Report manufacturing defects to the supervisor.
• Train new operators.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
• On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.

• Experience operating all equipment in the sawmill and planer. Experience operating the boiler, dry kilns, and shipping duties.
• Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
