Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician Trainee learns to perform electrical installations in pursuit of becoming an Electrician.

Tasks

  • Comply with safety standards at all times and correct/report any observed safety hazards.
  • Work with Electricians to learn to:
  • perform electrical installations of machinery, electrical wiring, and fixtures;
  • maintain, repair, and modify electrical installations to ensure optimal operations;
  • follow electrical schematics and regulations;
  • apply electrical theory and mathematics; and
  • use the materials and tools of the electrical trade.
  • Write, update, and complete work orders and reports as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required by maintenance personnel.
  • On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications / Education

  • Previous experience performing routine electrical activities preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings/bushings, and welding/cutting.
  • Ability to provide own basic tools to perform routine electrical activities.
  • Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
