Description
The Chipper Operator operates the chipper and keeps the surrounding area clean.
Tasks
- Comply with safety standards at all times and correct/report any observed safety hazards.
- Monitor operation of the chipper by responding to metal detector alarms and observing the working condition of the chipper. Perform startup and shutdown equipment inspections. Perform weekly PM inspections.
- Report manufacturing defects to the supervisor.
- Clean and maintain working area and equipment.
- Train new operators.
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
- On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications / Education
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Ability to follow all company, state and federal safety rules when performing required job duties.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history check and a pre-employment drug screening.
