Pre-Grinding Operator

Operate all machinery related to soft machining, heat treatment, OD grinding equipment and ODR’s according to required controls, temperatures, and specifications. Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and sequences. Assess machine operations; movement of parts, gauges, dials, machine sounds to determine potential equipment failures.

• Troubleshoot equipment and adjust settings to resolve setup issues.
• Interpret drawings or item attributes and follow routing instructions.
• Perform in-process inspections per inspection requirements and protocols.
• Use proper inspection tools to ensure product meets specifications.
• Conduct routine operator maintenance as required.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus but not required
• Career and Technology education preferred but not required
