Maintenance Assistant - Driver

Description

Responsible to assist in the routine maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and grounds.

Tasks

  • Assist with building maintenance and vehicle inspections, repairs, and registration upkeep.
  • Train new staff on vehicle use and conduct agency driving tests.
  • Perform groundskeeping tasks including lawn care and snow removal.
  • Manufacture woodshop items like pallets, boxes, and boards as assigned.
  • Handle deliveries, pickups, and assist with loading/unloading materials.
  • Support dock operations and material handling as needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote respectful, professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications / Education

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of all generally accepted building and grounds maintenance standards. Demonstrate written, verbal, and organizational skills. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Personal qualifications include the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, deal with changing priorities, attention to detail, leadership, supervisory abilities, and the ability to work in a team environment with all levels of the organization. Must have reliable transportation.
